Descubrir Dakar y Sant Louis.
Dakar is an interesting town easy to go arround with more than two million inhabitants, a curious fleet of vehicles -common in developping countries-, and in the whole a mixture of chaos, life and mouvement.
We will attend the fishers arrival at Yoff or Soumbedioune where, later on, the women will clean and sell the fish.

We will move to Goree, universal heritage, where we will experience the emotion and burden of the history giving us bak the ignominious slavery. We will walk arround the streets of the island and end up in the "Castel" from where we will spot Dakar.
Moreover, if you feel like sharing the beach with us, we will get to the Ngor island where, after a short trip by pirogue, we will enjoy a privileged site.
We will approach to the Great Mosque. No muslims are not alloved to get inside but it is woth it having a view and walk arround.
Then we will still have days enough to visit Saint Louis. On the way we will go up to the Pink Lake, usual end of the famous Paris-Dakar race. We will go along the edge of the lake until the Bonoba Cafe here we will gaze at the beautiful light and salt while having a soda or a glass of water.
AT Saint Louis we will spot the splendor of what once was the capital of Senegal and its present decline despite being universal heritage.. Nevertheless some remains of colonialism still survive here; we will decide between walking or taking a calash.
Located between the Athlantic ocean and the Seneral river, its lively fishers quarter market supplies the whole interior country.
We will have two options. One is the National Pak of Birds in Djoudj, 60 Kms. far from St. Louis where at least 400 species and more than 3 .000.000 birds come to establish every year. The dry season (from Decembre to Mai) is the best moment to visit the area. A walk by canoe will let us admire the great beauty of that area while some crocodiles might be observing.
Another option is La Langue de Barbari, 30 kms. far from St. Louis. There we will probably obser an important colony of pelikans apart from other species. Here we will enjoy bathing either at the river or at the ocean, just separated by a longue of sand on whick the Mauritanian camp is located.
When it gets dark, an informal dinner senegalese, music and we will try playing the djembe indeed.
Before returning to Dakar, we will go to the dunes in Loumpoul calle the Sengal Desert where we will have a beautiful view of the red sand.
